Thank God there are some folks like CCP in the world that dont take the sort of crap the goons pulled without a fight.
Some folks here seem to think that if a girl dresses sexy, if she gets raped she has no right to fight back or even speak badly of those who assaulted her.
That CCP is less than perfect does NOT mean that they have no right to COUNTER ATTACK when assaulted. That CCP is less than perfect makes them human, like any company. By rational standards CCP does just fine.
And what happened to CCP was "not" just some folks "speaking out", or "questioning". What happened to CCP was an on-line assault, pure and simple. Salute to CCP for doing the right thing in responce.
The thought that CCP does not allow aggressive and pointed and even over the top discussion of the game and their company is flat out false. Proof: This thread.

Ok, seems that comparison examples must be "perfect" in order to be valid.
I can play that game.
This case is much like party crashers that over run parties when a kids parents are away, puke and **** on the carpet, furnature, family clothes, etc, destroy the home interior, etc. (CCP being the home owner, goons being the crashers)
Even if the home owner's kid declared an "open party" and told folks to bring booze, the vandlistic party crashers are STILL vandles, and the home owner has every right to condemn them, and condemn them vigorously.
But more than anything, the thing I simply cannot wrap my mind around, is how some folks INSIST on focusing only on CCP actions and not goon actions. Its like the party crasher saying: "Your kid invited me, you have no right to complain that I ****ed and vomited all over your personal bedroom and punched holes in the walls".
CCP has a right to defend itself when attacked, pure and simple.
